Meet
the team

David Hunstone
CEO & co-founder
The rhythm created as water travels up a tree after a prolonged drought is just extraordinary. I saw this on a George Martin BBC documentray years ago and it has always stuck with me.
Kate Paterson
Chief Operations Officer & co-founder
It’s extraordinary when things trigger the emotion we call wonder. Stopping us in our tracks, widening our eyes, suspending our breath, swelling our hearts. Socrates said ‘philosophy begins in wonder: that wonder is what leads us to try to understand our world’. Wonder could be behind our most extraordinary achievements.
Isabel Odlin
Chief People Person
It’s extraordinary what human beings are capable of.
Jen Brown
Client Services Director
I find the ordinary extraordinary. Sometimes it’s the little things that we take for granted every day. The smell of freshly cut grass; the smile of a passing child; the warmth of the morning sun.
Renee Vaughan Sutherland
Chief Creative Officer
What I never cease to find extraordinary is fungi. On earth before plants, they have in excess of 36k genders. They form symbiotic relationships with flora and fauna through vast mycorrhizal networks (way more complex than the internet). They are at the beginning and end of life - they are divine connectors.
Paul Philips
Non-Executive Director
The power of books is always extraordinary to me. I read about 30 a year and love the way they can take you out of your world into another time and place and other people's lives.
Sebastian Mille
Event Manager
It's extraordinary that there are more Lego minifigures on Earth than humans!
Louise Andersen
People Person
It is extraordinary that there are more stars in the Universe, then there are grains of sand on all the beaches on Earth!
Adrienne Bhola
Account Manager
The human brain is extraordinary - it has the power to be your best friend, your support system and life's motivator, but can also be your biggest enemy at times. Mindfulness is essential to be able to control something so extraordinary.
Claire Kingston
Head of New Business Dev
The power of nature is extraordinary. A walk in the woods, by the sea or just round the park can change an ordinary day into an extraordinary one. I love that.
Nicholas Gumpo
Technical Operator
I find it extraordinary that we need plants to breathe but yet in particular seasons (summer) the same plants kill us with hayfever! Now I can't breathe.
Daniel Hills
Media Manager
I find the power of sport extraordinary. The captivation, despair, and euphoria that you can go through whilst watching your favourite team. Nothing effects my mood more! It has given me moments to treasure for a life time!
Amarat Sehgal
Producer
I find the brain of a dog extraordinary! Dogs can learn over 100 words and gestures, which puts their intelligence and understanding of us on a par with a two year old child. Like us humans, dogs have a preferred (hand) paw to lead with too. You can find out whether your dog is left or right-pawed by giving them their favourite toy and seeing which paw they use to help them first.
Natalie Wilsher
Production Manager
Look into our own history to find something extraordinary. It’s assumed the human race is always moving forward but this is not the case. Ancient Greek, Egyptian and later Roman civilisation were so advanced that once the Romans left Britain, the Anglo-Saxons returned to living in mud huts without sewers, water systems or stone roads. So, are we actually moving forward now? Or is the way we're living moving the human race backwards?
Ben Mehmet
Assistant editor
At Any Given Moment, There Are Approximately 2,000 Thunderstorms Happening on Earth. Extraordinary.
James Harverson
Technical Director
I find it extraordinary that people who use futureless languages are more likely to save for the future and make healthier choices.
Ollie Jamieson - 1990 - 2022
Ollie sadly passed away on 12th August 2022. He has left an indelible imprint on our team and lives. A talented camera operator and photographer, he was the kindest of souls and is fondly remembered as always having the warmest, and somewhat cheekiest of smiles.

Ollie was a truly extraordinary member of the Hub family, and is greatly missed.
Charlie Hubbard
Finance Manager
I find the ever-expanding size of the universe, with its billions of galaxies full of billions of stars, mind-blowing. The infinite possibilities and how much is left to be explored is extraordinary.
Rina Cheung
Senior Graphic Designer
I find the simplicity of breath quite extraordinary. The breath is with us from birth to our last day on earth. An unsung hero that supports our body to function, the one that gives us the much-needed sense of relief in the moment of stress; the one that creates inner space so vast in seconds; that one breath that has the potential to change your perspective of the world.
Leah & Blue
Comms & Content Creators
It's extraordinary that elephants find humans cute the way we find dogs cute. Also, double rainbows.
Leigh Dippenaar
Producer
Riding waves with a seal next to a cliff off the coast of Plettenberg Bay (South Africa) where there was a shipwreck underneath the water. Now that was extraordinary.
Kevin Collett
Senior Editor
Travel is extraordinary to me. To visit, explore, taste, sense, smell and feel different cultures and ways of life that differ from your own has an almost magical sense about it. As someone who has been fortunate enough to live on a different continent for many years, it’s something that I value highly.
